    Hi there, Thanks for the video its really helpful. Just one quick question, that would be highly appreciated if you can reply. My university has H+ my degree is also there but it says "Bedingt verleichbar" or "Conditionally comparable" with 3 years degree program and classified as "A2". Is it enough or do i need to go for Statement of comparability. Also i pre checked on ZAB and it says i can apply for a statement of compatibility but it will be ranked below german bachelor degree. I fulfill all other criteria just confused on this one.

    Hi Jen and Yvonne, new questions popped up in my mind. When applying for a visa I guess we need to provide the town/city name that we will be while looking for a job. AFAIK embassy then sends visa application documents to the foreign office of that city. My question is, if one finds a job outside of that city or even outside of that state will it be approved? There might be some kind of restrictions regarding finding a job in a different state.

    • @simplegermany

    Thank you so much for this wonderful and informative video! I do have one query for the Anabin Database, which I think you may have missed out in this video. This is a query of thousands of applicants out there, so it would be great if you can respond to it in a short video. I can see in the video that you searched the University on the Anabin database first and checked for its H+ status, and then you checked for the degree status entirely separately on the Anabin database. However, the following query, which I have noticed so many applicants asking the same question and facing the same issue, is as follows: My university is listed as H+ on the Anabin Database. However, when I select that University, and scroll to the 'Degrees' section at the bottom, there is only one degree listed there, which is NOT the degree that I completed with that University. Would this mean that my degree is not recognized as H+ and only my university's status is H+? This would mean partial recognition since the degree is not listed under the University's Degrees section. There's massive confusion about this. Can you please help?

    • @simplegermany
      @simplegermany 3 дні тому

      Thanks for your great feedback and phrasing your question so accurately! 😊 the answer lies in what we don’t say 😉. Your query as the one of many others is not a requirement on the official website of the German government. The two steps we mention are required, nothing else. Hope that makes it clear 😊

      If your degree is comparable to a German one you are. The work experience in the same field simply substitutes the comparability of your degree.

    I am writing this to clarify my doubts regarding recognition. My university has H+ status and my degree also has "Entspricht " status in the Anabin website. However, my university and degree are not listed together. In such a case, is my degree considered to Equivalent to a German degree or recognised? Or Should the degree and the university be listed together in the same page although they have H+ and Entspricht status?

    • @simplegermany
      @simplegermany 3 дні тому

      The German government website does not mention that degree and university need to be listed together. The two steps we describe are enough.

    My vote goes to Hamburg! It is a big city, you get all the culture and sport events, it is very green with the multiple rivers and parks in every part of the city, despite the total size the city center is still pretty small, so easy to explore with bike, on foot or with public transport. And in less than 2 hours, you can reach both the Baltic and the Northern Sea. Plus the people are nice and open.

    In my case, I arrived first and then after a year I brought my wife. My job contract started on January 1st (saturday), i arrived on 2nd and started working on 3rd (monday). However, I applied for the public insurance online before arriving to germany. At that time I did not know information you explained in this video so I bought 1 month travel insurance. So according to the information you gave, I could just buy a travel insurance for 2 days? After a year, for family reunion visa I registered my wife at my public health insurance company for free as a family member and got a document saying she is insured (or her insurance will start the day she arrives). So for family reunion visa I did not pay for the insurance.

    I just want to mention that I fall under category 6. Because I am from the USA, they didn't even consider my previous health insurance (public or private) when giving me public health insurance. Because I'm above a certain age, public insurance wouldn't typically be offered to me, but since I am currently below a certain income threshold, it was mandatory public (statutory) health insurance was given to me. Edit: I almost went with Feather. My friend, born and raised in Germany, suggested Feather. I went with TK. Oh well. 😢
